The Livermore Falls trail projects involve work on signs that are to
be constructed along trails that extend from Livermore to Jay along
the Androscoggin River. The trail itself is just one feature of a plan
to revitalize the old Otis Mill, once in operation as a paper-making
plant. The signs along the trail will incorporate local history of
settlement, industry, and community, as well as more technical
information regarding the ecological health of the river. Ultimately,
this project is one step toward re-envisioning how this once vibrantly
active space along the river can be integrated into community life. |
